After immigrating to the United States from South Africa in 2019, Vern quickly assembled The Burning Breeze and wasted no time making an impact. Through relentless touring and raw, soul-driven performances, the band has earned a reputation as one of the hardest-working independent rock acts on the road.

Blending a modern edge with the spirit of the classic rock greats, their music has been praised by Classic Rock Magazine (UK) as "blues-soaked soulful rock 'n' roll." Their high-energy live show gained national attention during their 2025 U.S. tour supporting John 5 and Richie Kotzen, performing to sold-out theaters across the country.

The band's momentum has continued with the release of their latest singles, New Game and Pulling on the Chain, a successful tour of France, and support slots alongside Molly Hatchet, Them Dirty Roses, King's X, Close Enemies (featuring Tom Hamilton of Aerosmith), Moonshine Bandits, Trapt, and more—further cementing their reputation as a must-see live act.
